St Peter's and St Paul's ranked in the top 20 best schools by the Sunday Times
St Peter’s and St Paul’s
RC Primary School, located in EC1, has achieved a top 20 ranking in the
Sunday Times listing of the best primary schools in the country.
The rankings are based upon academic results – SATs – over the last three
years, which means that only those schools with a consistently high academic
record stand any chance of achieving a top place in the list. The Sunday
Times ranked schools across the entire country, including both private and
state-funded schools.
Headteacher Daniel Keane said:
“As headteacher I am delighted at the excellent progress over time and the
high standards maintained at both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 SATs. This is
due to the hard work of children, teachers - and indeed governors and
parents, who all share this success. The children are successful not only in
the SATs, but also in the broader foundation subjects and after school clubs;
they enjoy coming to school and taking part in their lessons. This is worthy
recognition from the Sunday Times, and well deserved.”
The school is planning to launch its own website before Christmas.
Bill Clark, CEA@Islington Director of Schools’ Services said:
“Congratulations to St Peter’s and St Paul’s for making the Top 20! This is a
great result.”
