Green Roadshow Comes to Town

Roll Up Roll Up!

This year an exciting event is taking place in Regents Park as Islington and Camden councils have teamed up to bring the Green Roadshow to town!

To celebrate World Environment Day, Camden & Islington councils are pleased to offer this unique opportunity for primary schools and the general public in these boroughs, to participate in a world changing event, this shouldn’t be missed! Teachers are being offered the chance to bring their pupils to the highly acclaimed Green Roadshow ( www.greenroadshow.co.uk) on Monday June 5th. This fantastic company provides curriculum-based circus shows for children in a huge marquee surrounded by interactive eco-displays and environmentally educational workshops.

The Camden Green Fair is being held in Regent’s Park on Sunday June 4th, from 12 – 7pm and admission is free. The green roadshow will also be open to the public so come along.

In the green road show the children will be able to:-

Play with the solar powered fountain

Make something in the Scrapstore

Watch a demonstration of a woodland craft

Look at exhibits in the Mongolian Yurt

Have a ride on the solar powered roundabout

Have a short lecture on Marine Conservation and draw a picture of a sea creature

Listen to a short talk in the Sustainable Living tent

Make a wish on the Magic Wishing Tree

Have a look around the Green Transport stand and sit in and on an electric car/bike

Have a short lecture in the Green energy tent and see Wind turbines and Solar panels in action

Fill in their education packs as they go round
