Blessed Sacrament is a great school
Ofsted, the school inspectorate, has just published a glowing report about
Blessed Sacrament RC primary school, rating it as a good school with
outstanding features.
Father Jim Kennedy, Blessed Sacrament’s Priest said: “It’s very pleasing that
Ofsted have recognised as outstanding the leadership and management in
Religious Education and the provision for pastoral care.”
The school received a solid, all-round rating of good, with outstanding marks
for working in Partnership with others to promote pupils’ well-being; for the
way that pupils enjoy their education; and for the way the school promotes
healthy lifestyles.
The report quotes a parent speaking about the school: “The strong involvement
with the Priest and the professional staff make Blessed Sacrament a great
school.”
This was clearly a sentiment echoed by pupils at the school as they celebrated
the success of their Ofsted inspection with headteacher Norah Flatley.
“We know our school is great,” commented Year 6 school council member Jamie
Nee, “and now everybody else knows too!”
