Primary admissions
The new primary school brochure is released in November each year. The brochure contains detailed information on the procedure to apply and the criteria used for the community schools. It will also have the oversubscription criteria for the Voluntary Aided (Church) schools. As there are 45 primary schools in Islington the brochure only contains contact details and some other basic information. If you would like more detailed information about individual primary schools, each school will have their own prospectus which you can obtain from them direct.
The primary application form is provided in the back of the brochure but can only be completed if your child is due to start Reception in the following academic year and must be returned to the School Admissions Section. You will also find supplementary registration forms if you want to apply for Church of England and Catholic Schools. These are completed in addition to the main primary application form and sent back to the respective school.
The closing date for applications is 2 February 2009.
This closing date was for children born between 1/9/2004 to 31/8/2005, which includes children due to start school in September 2009
and
January 2010.
Please remember that proof of address is also required for your application to be considered. You can send photocopies to the School Admissions Section at the address below. We will need to match your proof of address to your application so please remember to put your child’s name and date of birth on any information you send to us. Two items of proof of address are required as follows:
