Financial details

Local Education Authorites are expected to prepare a budget statement under section 52 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 showing the spending at both LEA and school level on all LEA maintained primary, secondary and special schools and all other education expenditure by the LEA.

The section 52 budget statement is prepared before the beginning of each financial year while an outturn statement will also be produced at the end of each financial year showing how the budget has been spent.
