Gender equality

This is the Gender Equality Duty (GED) section of the website. CEA@Islington began consultation and training about the Gender Equality Duty for school governors and headteachers in late Autumn 2006.

We offered a template with some ideas to help schools prepare their Gender Equality Policy, and another with suggestions for preparing a Gender Equality Action Plan.

Copies of both these documents are available here to download.

There is also a copy of the Equal Opportunities Commission's (EOC) statutory Code of Practice for the GED and the EOC specific guidance for Schools.

Any updates to these documents will be available at www.eoc.org.uk

CEA@islington has also prepared its own GE Policy and we are in the process of finalising our GE Action Plan. These will both be available here shortly.
