Primary Girls' Football

November 2006

The second annual 8-a-side girls football competition was won with a powerful display from Duncombe Primary over the two days of the competition.

Twenty teams entered the competition with the overall standard improving considerably on last year. Two hard fought days of prelims saw St Mary Magdelene's, St Luke's, Canonbury, Vittoria, Gillespie, Sacred Heart, Duncombe, and Pakeman qualify for the finals day. Congratulations to those schools who made it to the finals day and well done to everyone else who entered and made the competition such a memorable one. A particular well done to St Lukes who won the Fair Play Trophy for showing outstanding sportsmanship.

Semi Final
Duncombe 2-1 Canonbury
St Mary Magdelene 1-0 Gillespie

Final
Duncombe 3-1 St Mary Magdelene
