Say no to bullying
Be Alert ~ Is your child...
-
getting miserable on Sunday nights?
-
often hungry? (is their lunch being taken?)
-
often without money although he/she left home with some?
-
walking far out of her/his way to get to or from school because of safety
fears?
-
not sleeping?
-
coming home with belongings lost or damaged?
-
coming home with unexplained injuries?
-
no longer seeing close friends?
-
becoming quiet and withdrawn?
-
irritable and angry?
These may be signs that something is wrong - bullying might be the cause.
Is your child being bullied or bullying?
This section has lots of ideas to help you if your child is being bullied or
involved in bullying other children.
We want you to know that in Islington we are all working together to make our
schools 'bully free zones'.
To find out how our efforts are working, we consulted over two thousand
pupils. This has provided us with detailed information about your children's
views about bullying; where it takes place and what further work we can do to
stop it.
As a result of what children and young people have told us, we are responding
in a number of ways,
outlined here.
