Continuous professional development
Cambridge Education @ Islington believes that Continuing Professional
Development plays a central role in enabling schools to sustain improvement,
work collaboratively and yet develop their autonomy to become effective
self-evaluating institutions.
The central programme together with our school based and outreach offer builds
on previous knowledge and experience and relates to the current and emerging
roles of all staff employed in our education centres and schools.
Its core purpose is to assist Schools and Centres as they shape the continuous
professional development of their staff.
The CPD programme reflects our commitment to Cambridge Education @ Islington’s
CPD Strategy and Professional Development Framework. We believe that
developing the capacity for pupils’ learning is linked directly to improving
the capacity for continuous learning for all staff and governors.
