Physical and sensory

We have a team of experienced staff who will be available to support colleagues in mainstream schools in planning for and managing pupils who are physically challenged and who have associated communication and learning difficulties.

We can offer support and training in the following areas:

    • inclusion of pupils in early years, primary and secondary settings

    • risk assessment and manual handling

    • ICT - use of specialist software and aids

    • differentiating the curriculum

    • working with P levels and Pivats

    • health care advice

    • working with parents

    • disability awareness

    • recruitment, induction and training of specialist teaching assistants

    • advice on how to develop a multi-sensory curriculum for visually impaired children or children with
    multi-sensory impairment and complex needs or learning difficulties.
