Free School Meals

From 1 April 2004, Cambridge Education @ Islington took over the administration of free school meals. The drop-in service previously provided at Laycock Street is no longer available. However, Cambridge Education @ Islington now authorise free school meals on site at Islington schools.

Free School Meal Entitlement is assessed using income information Are you in receipt of one of the incomes listed below.

• Income Support
• Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
• Child Tax Credit only, and have an annual income of no more than £14,495 (as assessed by the Inland Revenue) and no Working Tax Credit
• Guarantee Element of State Pension Credit
• supported by the National Asylum Support Service (NASS)
• supported by a local authority Social Services Asylum Team (SSAT)
