Whittington Hospital and Class and Home Tuition Service
The Whittington Hospital Class:
The Whittington Hospital Class is based on Ifor Ward, the children’s ward at
the Whittington Hospital. The class aims to teach all school age children who
are patients in the hospital.
Home Tuition Service:
The Teacher in Charge runs The Home Tuition Service from the Whittington
Hospital Class. The service supports sick children who are of school age and
live in Islington. The children must be receiving medical treatment and not be
well enough to attend school. They are taught in their homes by Hospital Class
teachers or, if they are well enough, at the Hospital Class. The service also
supports pupils with mental health needs.
