Statutory Assessment of SEN
Criteria for Assessment
Islington Council has established criteria against which decisions about
Statutory Assessment are made. These criteria set out the expectations of
support given to a pupil prior to the request and details the levels of
learning need that need to be established before the Council can agree to
undertake a Statutory Assessment.

Parents may also request an assessment and they are asked to provide similar
evidence to that expected of schools when making a request this document lists
the expected information
